Before Springdale had its current name, the settlement was called Shiloh, with its development centered on early gathering places and community halls. The Shiloh Historic District covers 32 acres in downtown Springdale, anchored by the 1870 Shiloh Church building — the oldest surviving structure in the city. Autumn in Shiloh begins with the brightness of citrus and berry — a crisp autumn dawn through turning leaves. Orchard warmth emerges next: crisp apple and toasted pecan, like walking past fruit-laden branches at dusk. Cedar and a whisper of cinnamon ground the blend in solid familiarity, evoking aged timbers, historic sidewalks in the district, and the hush of the season’s turning. Light it and carry the glow of legacy and the promise in every flicker.
